Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal data Procain Consulting collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can get it changed or removed. It is written to meet the notice requirement in section 5 of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Under the DPDP Act we are the Data Fiduciary for the data described here. That means we decide why and how it is processed, and we are accountable for it.
What we collect, and why

We ask only for what we need to do the thing you asked us to do. There is no tracking pixel on this site that profiles you for advertising, and we do not buy or sell contact data.
The basis on which we process it
For both forms, the basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form before you submit it. The wording you agreed to, and the time you agreed, are recorded with your enquiry or application.
Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and defending the website, which is a recognised use under section 7 of the Act.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Job applications: 24 months from the date you applied, then deleted, unless you join us or ask us to keep them longer.
- Server logs: 90 days.
If you withdraw consent before those periods end, we delete the data sooner. See Withdrawing consent.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run this website. They process your data on our instructions only, and they are Data Processors under the Act. We remain accountable for what they do with it.

Some of these providers are outside India, so your data may be transferred abroad. Nothing on this site is sold, rented or given to anyone for their own marketing.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and who we have shared it with.
- Correct or complete anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Erase your data, where we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated.
Ask by email and we will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we are not handing your data to someone else.
Withdrawing consent
Email info@procainconsulting.com with the word withdraw and we will stop processing your data and delete it, unless a law requires us to keep it. Withdrawing is meant to be as easy as giving consent, so one email is enough. You do not have to explain why.
Withdrawing does not undo anything we did lawfully before you withdrew. If you withdraw consent for an open enquiry or a live job application, we will not be able to continue with it.
Grievances
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, write to info@procainconsulting.com, marked for the attention of the Data Protection contact. We will acknowledge within 3 working days and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, which is the authority appointed under the Act to hear complaints from Data Principals.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data about children. If you believe a child has given us their data, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
We hold ISO 27001, ISO 20000-1 and ISO 9001 certifications, and the controls those require apply to this data. Access to enquiries and applications is limited to the people who need it, transfers are encrypted, and CVs are stored in a restricted folder rather than passed around by email.
Languages
This notice is published in English. If you would prefer it in any of the languages in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India, email info@procainconsulting.com and we will provide it.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where the change is significant and we still hold your data, we will tell you directly.
